Photographers have been using food as a means of modeling landscapes for decades. Your next assignment is to create the impression of a landscape using primarily food items.
Please explore the links below, paying particular attention to how various foods were used as natural materials in the design of the landscape. Some of the work is modern and refined and other work is repulsive yet beautiful in it's decay. Carl Warner's site has many images that are worth looking through to get ideas on how to use food as a raw material.
Consider also the use of human figures in your image to add scale and interest to your composition. A lot of artists use tiny railroad figures in the actual image capturing, but figures could be easily photoshopped into the composition. Paying attention to details (like figures, vehicles, etc.) will greatly enhance the outcome of your project.
Finally, think about how you can use "depth of focus"--either in-camera or post processing--to help create the illusion of depth.
Index prints (24 exposures minimum) will be due by 1/17 for Periods 3 & 5 and 1/18 for Period 2
Final images will be due by 1/23 for Periods 3 & 5 and 1/22 for Period 2.
